There are three six sessions beginning June 5. Classes are held daily from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Class sizes will range from nine to 14 members each. A complete class schedule is available online.
While attending 3D Camp!, students will:
- Learn the interface and basic tools of Maya
- Work on exercises to build different objects
- Create a clay model
- Do a poster project
- Create a flipbook animation
- Create a stop-motion video
- Create a short animation

- Tour the STL Lab
The VTL also hosts a Cosmic Blobs workshop for students in middle school that serves as an introduction to 3D modeling.
3D Camp! and Cosmic Blobs are an excellent opportunity to get kids out of the house during the summer. Students will learn a valuable skill applicable in several career fields including aviation, engineering, graphic design, marketing and advertising, to name a few.
