FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center Website
The CECAM bulletin is designed to provide information on research projects, including overviews and outcomes of the projects done by CECAM member universities. While the bulletin itself acts as an archive of information on these projects, there is another place that is the official archive for the projects CECAM members have participated in over the years.
The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center website is home to an extensive collection of technical reports focused on aviation, engineering and FAA materials. The website is not only home to all final reports published after CECAM projects are complete, but it also acts as an archive for reports from all FAA research done through the National Institute for Aviation Research, Wichita State University and other universities that have participated in FAA projects over the years.
Through an easy-to-use search engine, visitors can find technical reports based on subject matter, title and author. Click on "Search Library Catalog" to search the database.
Additional Search Types Available:
Simple Search: Simple search enables you to search using a 'keyword' or 'phrase'.

Browse Search: Browse search allows you to search by a specific category such as 'Author', Title', 'Subject', etc. Search results appear in alphabetical order beginning with the nearest field matching the information entered.

Power Search: Power Search gives you the advantage of combining different categories such as 'Author' AND 'Title' OR 'Subject' enabling you to search multiple terms simultaneously.

Generally, a large list will be provided and organized by title first, then the DOT/FAA document number and the size and type of file available for download. The list also includes an overview of the paper to help the user determine which file is needed. As part of the FAA’s new branding initiative, the website will be revamped in the coming months, but the process of conducting searches will remain the same.

NIAR Workshop Portal
Since 2002, the FAA Joint Advanced Materials & Structures (JAMS) Center of Excellence has supported Composite Safety & Certification Initiatives (CS&CI) through research on critical technical issues and the development of training standards. These workshops help direct future JAMS research and training developments.
NIAR has created an archive of workshop presentations and related materials. The website is designed to provide workshop information, including presentations and feedback forms, to workshop attendees and other interested parties. When a workshop is scheduled, the site acts as a registration page and contains logistical information such as hotel information and directions.
It also contains a link to the William J. Hughes Technical Center report archive mentioned above and links to additional NIAR/FAA reports.
